All our cabins are non-smoking. Smoking IS PERMITTED outside the cabin or on the cabin deck. Read About Smoke-Free Cabins Here.

Upper Cullen Resort is a "No Pets Allowed" facility. Please call 800 450-2838  for alternative lodging  information if you MUST  bring your pet with you.

Here are some policies at the resort:

Cabin Rental Policy
Our cabins are available for weekly rental in the prime summer months (Mid-June through late August) and nightly rentals when available.  Normally, our weekly rentals during the prime summer season begin and end on Saturday but are flexible in early and late season rentals.  All advance cabin reservations must be confirmed with a deposit.  Rates published and quoted at the time of your reservation apply.  Renter is responsible for the entire lodging reservation and the deposit applies to the last days of your reserved time.

We Guarantee to Honor All Reservations made with a deposit
and Expect our Guests to Do Likewise.
We do not make weather related refunds.
We do not make refunds for early departures.

PETS are NOT allowed anywhere in our resort.  SORRY, NO PETS, NO EXCEPTIONS.  Please Inform All of Your Guests of this Policy.

Cabin Amenities
Please check the individual cabin description for a complete listing of the amenities included. Cabin-side parking for one car is provided as noted under each cabin description.  Dragging your stuff from another area to the cabin is not necessary.  Please reserve cribs and hi-chairs in advance.  Many cabins have FREE Wi-Fi access and FREE wireless internet is also available in and around our store.  A courtesy house telephone is located in our store for your convenience and local calls are free.

Housekeeping Accommodations
All of our housekeeping cabins are air conditioned, each has a gas stove, refrigerator, microwave, cooking utensils, dishes, full channel cable TV, drip coffee maker, hide-a-bed, fresh bedding linens and extra blankets, heater, soft conditioned water, picnic table, individual cabin campfire ring, charcoal BBQ and cabin-side parking.  (Single Twin hide-a-bed in the Tamarac Cabin Master Bedroom).  You will need to bring your own towels, soap and personal items. We also have an "On-Site" laundry, game room, convenience store, ice, mixed gas and ethanol-free marine fuel, bait and firewood.

Extra Cabin Occupants
Base Cabin Rates are based on 2 persons per bedroom ("base rate").  Two guests per bed is the recommended occupancy. (Two twin beds equal one "bed").  The maximum occupancy is limited to 2 guests per bed plus two additional persons (5 max in Birch, 4 is best occupancy in the White Oak and Basswood cabins, 9 max in Aspen Cabin, 11 max in the Tamarac Cabin).  Additional occupants over the base rate please add $75 Per Week or $15 per night for each additional person. (Children over the base occupancy who are under 2 are charged at half the regular rate).

Guests Who Visit
In our business, we rent space & time.  Cabin rental rates are based on registered occupants and do not include additional visitors, day guests, neighbors or relatives. All visitors must register at the office upon arrival, pay applicable guest fee, park in the Customer Parking Area and leave by 10:00 P.M.  PLEASE, NO Guest-Owned PETS allowed on our property!  Please inform all of  your guests of our visitor policy as you are responsible for them.  Day visitors must register at office upon arrival. We reserve the right to limit the number of guests per cabin and the hours of their visit.  Total of all cabin occupants plus all day guests is limited to cabin maximum occupancy rating plus two (2).  Please inform your  visitors of our guest policy and occupancy limitations.  Thank you!

Cabin Deposit Requirements
4 Bedroom:  $600 deposit per week.
3 Bedroom:  $500 deposit per week.
2 Bedroom:  $400 deposit per week.
1 Bedroom:  $300 deposit per week.
The balance of your cabin rental charge is due when you arrive.
Deposits are Non-Refundable unless cabin is re-rented.  (See Cancellation Policy).
Deposit applies only to last portion of reserved time.
Weekly Cabin Reservations do not have a nightly rate option.
Renter will be responsible for entire time reserved.
Cabin Reservations held five mailing days pending the receipt of your deposit.
(All Cabin rentals are subject to our Cleaning and Damage Deposit, included in and equal to no less than 50% of the above deposit.  The unearned portion will normally be refunded in full within about 14 days of checkout.  Please call in advance with questions about this deposit).

Cabin Cancellation Policy
We do not wish to profit by withholding anyone's cabin deposit but please understand that lodging reservations are serious business.  Deposits are refundable if the reserved cabin is re-rented and with 60 days prior notice.  Refund of deposit paid will reflect a $50 office charge.  Office charge may be waived if you arrange for re-rental.  We do not wish to earn money this way and we will work with you to maximize your deposit refund.  Our goal is your complete satisfaction.

Cabin Check-in/Check-out Times
Cabin check-in 3 P.M. to 9:30 P.M. or by prior arrangement with office.  Check-out is 8:30 A.M. to 10:00 A.M. or by prior arrangement with office.
We know you are excited to begin your vacation but PLEASE do not arrive early, we need all the time available to prepare your cabin and have it properly cleaned.  Any early arrivals will be asked to return after our established check-in time of 3 P.M.  Late check-out may result in a late fee being assessed.

Fishing Licenses
A Drivers License and Credit Card are needed to obtain a fishing license by telephone at home or in our store.  Call now if you like:  888-665-4236.

Boat Rentals
With your cabin rental we provide:

Dockage for no charge for the first boat included with your cabin rental.
If you wish to use a cabin rowboat during your stay here, we have reduced rental rates for one boat on our Rentals page.
Additional boat rentals are charged at the regular rate.
Those who bring their own boat and wish to use a cabin boat will be charged a launch fee for their boat and the reduced rate for the first cabin boat.
Please check your boat for aquatic hitchhikers and weeds BEFORE LAUNCHING and remove all weeds from your trailer before leaving the property.

Prohibited Items at the Resort

• NO Pets of any kind, size, age, health, marital status, gender or disposition. Local Pet Boarding is available.  Click here  (We LOVE pets but not at the resort, please)
• No firearms, slingshots, BB Guns or other weapons of any type.
• Due to Guest preferences, we DO NOT allow personal watercraft such as Jet Skis to be launched from or moored at our resort beach area.  Guests may bring such watercraft on a trailer with PRIOR OFFICE APPROVAL but must use them on another lake.  Please contact 800-450-2838 for Resorts that allow PWC's on-site.
• No Mini Bikes or ATV's Allowed.
• PLEASE NOTE:  New State and Federal laws govern the sale, packaging and transportation of all firewood in Minnesota.
• Non-Native Firewood may not be brought into the resort because of the danger of spreading the Emerald Ash Borer beetle.  
  Firewood MAY NOT be gathered on our property or on any neighboring properties!

We sincerely try to offer a peaceful family atmosphere for your relaxation. NO LOUD RADIOS, BOOM BOX OR OTHER UNNECESSARY NOISE PLEASE. Quiet hours are from 10:30 P.M. to 8:30 A.M. Each cabin has it's own campfire ring and picnic table. No tents or screen houses in the cabin area please. Telephone reservations held 5 days pending receipt of your cabin deposit. All Prices and/or policies subject to change without notice. Rental with deposit guarantees rate at time of reservation. All Prices subject only to Minnesota Sales Tax. We have NO lodging tax, NO service charges, NO other added fees!
